In
her on-going effort to provide an ever-changing palette of unique
decorative and fine art pieces, Deborah Buck, owner of Buck House,
will expand the scope of her business to include The Gallery at
Buck House, on 1326 Madison Avenue (entrance on 94th Street) on
March 8, 2006. To launch the opening of her new quarters, Ms.
Buck will present Manhattan/Glamour, an exhibition of photographs,
sculpture, paintings and drawings, curated by Charlie Scheips,
the noted writer, art advisor and cultural historian who was labeled
part of the New Guard by The New York Times Magazine.
Manhattan/Glamour
will be the first in a series of exhibitions that will reflect
the international and eclectic nature of Deborah Buck's taste.
Other exhibitions will salute Copenhagen, Paris, Rome, and London.
I've strived to inject Buck House with a mega-dose of international
glamour, but New York is my first love and I thought it was a
good place to start my collaboration with Charlie Scheips,
she said. His artistic and intellectual prowess are invaluable
when it comes to deciphering the intricate layers of art and design,
and I look forward to working with him"
